Prashant Maheshwari: why this site exists, and the person behind it.
Hello, and thank you for reading. I am Prashant Maheshwari (Prashant Nandkishor Maheshwari on the pages I write). I built Pusaram so that the ideas of money become easy to understand, and so that anyone can act on them with a little more calm and a little more control.
Where I come from
I come from a Marwari family with an entrepreneurial mindset. Money, risk, credit and responsibility were part of everyday conversation at home, long before they became subjects I studied. I learned early that a business, like a household, survives on small habits done steadily: knowing what comes in, knowing what goes out, and respecting the gap between them.
What I have studied and done
I hold an MBA and an LLB, along with various professional certificates and trainings. I have worked in corporate settings and have had the opportunity to take on jobs and projects abroad. Each of these has taught me something I try to bring to the pages here: management gives structure, law teaches care with words and obligations, and working across countries is a reminder that the basic ideas of money travel well even when the rules do not. My professional background is on LinkedIn.
Why I am writing this
For some time I have been quietly working on books about personal finance and related topics, still unpublished. A burning wish to share what I have learned kept pushing me to find a simpler, faster way to reach people. This site is that way: short lessons, honest examples, and tools that cost nothing to use.
I want money to feel less frightening and more understandable. Most of us were never taught how it works, so we learn by mistake, which is expensive. If a few clear paragraphs and a worked example can save someone a costly mistake, the effort is worth it.
The workbook and how it will grow
I want the workbook to be more than a form. My aim is to make it engaging, even a little playful, so that tracking what comes in and what goes out feels like progress rather than a chore. It already shows milestones as you complete each step, privately, on your own device. I plan to make it more immersive over time. The goal is simple: that you feel in control of your money.
What I believe
Life is to be cherished, and to cherish it we need to act and to flourish. Money is not the purpose of life, but understanding it frees time, energy and choices for what is. I believe in learning slowly and steadily, in being kind to ourselves about past mistakes, and in small steps that are actually taken.
How I work, and what I am not
- I write and review the content myself, with the help of an AI writing assistant for drafting. I am responsible for what is published.
- I am not a registered investment adviser, tax adviser or lawyer in this role. Nothing here is personal advice. Where a decision matters, please speak to a qualified professional in your country.
- Independent specialist review of the lessons is still pending, and I say so on each page.
- I would rather be corrected than be wrong. If you see a mistake, please tell me.
Say hello
You can write to me through the feedback page, or leave a comment at the bottom of any page. Thank you for spending your time here.
Prashant
