What you type in the workbook

The workbook calculates in your browser. We do not send, store or see your entries. Your numbers are not put in web addresses, page titles, analytics or ad requests.

Saving on your device (optional, off by default)

If you tick "Save on this device", the workbook stores your entries in your browser's local storage. It stays on that device, can be lost if you clear browser data, is never used for advertising, and is deleted when you press "Clear everything" or untick the option. Marking lessons done works the same way.

What the website itself may process

Like any website, our web server records technical logs such as IP address, time, page requested and browser type, for security and to keep the site running. We keep them for a limited period and do not use them to build profiles. We do not use cookies of our own. We do not currently run analytics. If we add privacy-friendly aggregate analytics, we will list it here first.

Comments

Some pages have a comments section. If you post, we store the page, your optional display name, your comment, the time, and a salted one-way hash of your connection address (used only to limit spam, and removed after 30 days). We do not ask for an email address and we set no cookies for this. Comments are sent to the site owner for a quick check and appear publicly on the page once approved. Please do not post personal or financial details. To have a comment removed, use the feedback page.

Translation

The language menu sends you to Google Translate, which fetches this site's public page and translates it. We do not load any Google translation code on our pages. Once you choose a language you are on Google's service and its privacy terms apply. The workbook has no language menu. Nothing you type in the workbook or the calculators is included.

Analytics

We do not run analytics today. We will first look at the free reports in Google Search Console and AdSense, which need no code on our pages. If we later add a privacy-friendly, cookie-free counter, we will name it here before switching it on.

Advertising

The site may show Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. We ask for non-personalised ads, and where the law requires it, a consent message lets you choose. Ads do not appear on the workbook, the calculators, the fraud library, the help page, or lessons about debt and fraud. Details: advertising. Your choices

You can use the site with no ad scripts by using the workbook page, which loads none. You can also block cookies or use a content blocker. The site's lessons still work.

Children

The site is for general education and is not directed at children under 13.
